Tourism Trinidad Limited hosted a two-day training programme, Representing Trinbago with Excellence, at Queen’s Hall to prepare the national culinary team ahead of Taste of the Caribbean, taking place November 16-19, 2026 at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Day one opened with a welcome address before moving into sessions on building individual confidence, building a winning team, the story behind the ingredient, and public speaking and media engagement, giving participants the tools to communicate with confidence both in the kitchen and in front of media and stakeholders.

Day two shifted focus to storytelling and presentation, with sessions on Trinidad and Tobago’s culinary identity, the purpose behind representing the destination at Taste of the Caribbean, taking local cuisine from plate to place through culinary storytelling, and professional etiquette.

The programme reflects TTL’s continued investment in equipping culinary and hospitality professionals to represent Trinidad and Tobago with pride, confidence and excellence on the regional and international stage.
