Tourism Trinidad’s Manager of Investment and Business Development, Mr. Cornell Buckradee, recently delivered remarks at the launch of the Culinary Grassroots Programme hosted by the Chef Sharaz Culinary Academy.

Targeting secondary school students, and in partnership with the T&T Home Economics Association, Chef Sharaz is taking an innovative and practical approach to introducing the country’s youth to the culinary arts.

Starting with St. Francois Girls’ College on May 12, 2026, and extending to other schools across the country, this initiative will tap into our unique and tantalizing local cuisine, showcasing Trinidad and Tobago as one of the Caribbean’s most exciting culinary destinations
