TTL participated in the Career Fair hosted by Holy Faith Convent, Couva where the young ladies and future leaders were engaged in interactive discussions on exciting opportunities available within the local tourism industry, including careers in hospitality, events, marketing, environmental tourism and digital content creation.

We were delighted to connect with so many young enthusiastic minds eager to learn more about the tourism sector and its role in showcasing the beauty, culture and experiences of Trinidad and Tobago to the world.

Students participated in question and answer activities which made the experience more engaging and educational. Thank you Holy Faith for hosting the Tourism Trinidad Limited team.

Tourism Trinidad Limited, in collaboration with SBCS Global Learning Institute, recently hosted the “Introduction to Digital and Social Media Marketing for Tourism Stakeholders” training programme, designed to equip tourism professionals with the practical skills needed to effectively promote their products and services in the digital space.

The course introduced participants to key areas such as social media marketing, storytelling, blogging and vlogging, online reputation management, e-commerce opportunities, AI-powered tools for content creation, and the planning and execution of simple digital campaigns. It also encouraged a practical understanding of how digital platforms can be used to grow visibility and strengthen engagement within the tourism sector.

From tour operators and accommodation providers to community-based tourism groups and entrepreneurs, participants left better equipped to navigate the evolving digital landscape and position their businesses for growth in a competitive global market.

Tourism Trinidad’s Manager of Investment and Business Development, Mr. Cornell Buckradee, recently delivered remarks at the launch of the Culinary Grassroots Programme hosted by the Chef Sharaz Culinary Academy.

Targeting secondary school students, and in partnership with the T&T Home Economics Association, Chef Sharaz is taking an innovative and practical approach to introducing the country’s youth to the culinary arts.

Starting with St. Francois Girls’ College on May 12, 2026, and extending to other schools across the country, this initiative will tap into our unique and tantalizing local cuisine, showcasing Trinidad and Tobago as one of the Caribbean’s most exciting culinary destinations

Tourism Trinidad Limited, in conjunction with COSTAATT, officially launched its two-day Tourism Product Packaging & Pricing course on Tuesday 12th May 2026.

As part of TTL’s ongoing commitment to building capacity within the tourism sector, participants will engage in interactive sessions focused on tourism experience design, product packaging principles, costing and other key industry topics.

The sessions are being facilitated by Marcus Baptiste and Katherine McConie.

The event celebrated the richness of our culinary heritage and highlighted the growing importance of culinary tourism in Trinidad and Tobago.

rinidad and Tobago will welcome over 300 global conservationists and ecotourism leaders this July for the BirdsCaribbean 25th International Conference at the Hyatt Regency.

Returning to our shores for the first time since 2003, the five-day biennial event highlights T&T’s status as a global birding powerhouse. With 499 recorded species—the highest richness per square kilometer in the Caribbean—the islands are a primary target for the booming global avitourism market, projected to reach US$95.2 billion by 2030.

Senator the Honourable Satyakama Maharaj, Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism, noted that the conference aligns with national goals for economic diversification. “Birdwatchers are among our highest-value visitors,” he stated, noting their average daily spend of up to US$850, which directly benefits local guides and communities.

Beyond the economic impact, the summit will address urgent regional conservation, including protections for the Critically Endangered Trinidad Piping-Guan. The event will feature extensive field trips to premier birding sites across both islands.

The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Marine Services Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MSATT), is pleased to announce that the new Port Health Office located at the Crew’s Inn Compound, Chaguaramas, is now officially open and operational.

This new facility has been established to provide efficient and accessible Port Health Clearance services to the maritime sector, supporting both local and international vessel operators. Its strategic location within a key yachting and marine services hub ensures improved turnaround times and enhanced service delivery for incoming vessels.

The opening of the Port Health Office forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Trinidad and Tobago’s position as a premier maritime and yachting destination in the region, while ensuring that all health and safety protocols are effectively maintained.

The office operates daily, including public holidays, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On April 15, 2026, Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) signed a contract with Crews Inn Limited to participate in the Tourism Accommodation Upgrade Project (TAUP).

Crews Inn, a 46-room property located in Chaguaramas, will undertake a series of planned guestroom upgrades over the next three months. These improvements are intended to enhance the overall quality of the accommodation offering and strengthen the visitor experience.

The TAUP initiative forms part of TTL’s ongoing efforts to support the development and competitiveness of Trinidad and Tobago’s tourism sector by assisting accommodation providers in meeting evolving industry standards.
