Tourism Trinidad Limited continues to strengthen stakeholder engagement and tourism product development across South Trinidad through The Southern Experience – “Shaping Experiences, Strengthening Southern Communities”, held on September 25, 2026.

The workshop brings together tourism stakeholders and industry practitioners to explore how Southern Trinidad’s culture, heritage, nature, culinary offerings and community-based activities can be developed into market-ready, bookable visitor experiences.

Tourism Trinidad Limited Chairman Benedict Hatem addresses participants during the session, underscoring the importance of stakeholder collaboration and continued product development in expanding opportunities for communities and small tourism operators across the South.

Through presentations, industry insights and a collaborative Product Development Lab, participants focus on key areas including market readiness, visitor expectations, packaging, pricing, destination storytelling and operational considerations. Stakeholders also work together to identify opportunities to connect individual attractions, services and community assets into cohesive visitor experiences.

The Southern Experience forms part of Tourism Trinidad Limited’s ongoing work to strengthen the quality and marketability of the destination’s tourism product while increasing the visibility of South Trinidad within the wider destination offering.
