Trinidad Hosts International Carnival Studies Conference

Dr. Haroun Shah (right in picture), Conference Coordinator of the 11th Steelpan/Carnival Arts Conference—currently being held at the UTT Campus of the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Trinidad and Tobago—discusses the importance of the International Journal of Carnival Arts with Kheegon Daly, Stakeholder Relations Officer at Tourism Trinidad.
The conference, titled Famalay, is a collaboration between the University of Trinidad and Tobago and the International Carnival Conference Committee. Taking place from March 6–9, 2025, it brings together key global stakeholders from the Carnival and Steelpan fraternities to explore academic research and advancements in the field.
